Question Time

Didn’t watch it but reading the reports it sounds like the majority can see this lot of Tories for what they are.

I hope it’s going to be political Armageddon for them in a few weeks.

For Labour to beat them they need the biggest swing (12.5%) since WW2.

And they will probably achieve it with ease. And that’s with a leader who isn’t very popular.

I was wondering the other day whether starmer was really unpopular or whether it's all tories can highlight about him so it is amplified.

How popular or not he is can only be relative to other opposition leaders of the past.

He’s getting absolutely crucified for his performance this morning.
He’s soooo bad at dealing with the public. His disdain for us plebs drips from his every word, so much so that initially you watch his prickly little ‘I’m smarter than you, and I really shouldn’t have to explain this to you stupid people again’ responses and don’t register what he’s actually saying. Then the content of his words hit and you have a WTAF moment, as you realise he’s talking about taking away driving licenses and access to bank accounts for those who don’t do national service, and other batshit crazy stuff.
It’s brilliant. The more he’s visible, the more damage he does.

Good post.
I think the Tories have eroded trust in politicians across the board with the public because of the Brexit lies and the party’s during COVID and Starmer is definitely suffering a bit from that now lack of trust generally by the public.

And austerity. Lots of people now understanding that they went after those least well off and it was a deliberate attack on people. All based on lies again too.

The more I see of these shows the more convinced I am that the British electorate gets the terrible governments it deserves. "Hi I'm 19/34/67 and I'm a student/bricklayer/retired accountant. What are YOU going to do for ME?"

Never questions of principle, of understanding the difference between right and wickedness.

Particularly liked Sunak visibly starting to lose his sh*t with the lady who asked about leaving the ECHR.

He's a selfish entitled, spoilt mysoginist who cannot accept anyone challenging his obvious brilliance - especially female plebs.

Last night was a wonderful car crash, shame the programme ran out of time and the credits started as the crowd started booing. Or did the BBC pull the plug to save him?

Worra fooking Doyle.
