QPR game to be rescheduled

Hope it's to the next day.
It's my girlfriend's birthday and I'd be getting some right grief for watching the match, so it would help me out if it was on a different day.

Fancy choosing saturday 3pm for the funeral, obviously not a football fan who decided that. You'd have thought Prince William President of the FA would have avoided such an avoidable clash. 1100 would make more sense. just be ko time change, I presume

It didnt affect the matches when the queen mothers funeral was held on a saturday although i think they pushed the grand national back for it and they never moved it back again, i remember it always used to be on ag half time.

The Queen Mother's funeral was on a Tuesday.

With being called QUEEN's Park Rangers, how could they possibly have been expected to play during the funeral? I believe Phillip was a regular at Loftus Road in Division Three South days.

Yes it is. It's deliberately inconveniencing millions of people. Many of whom couldn't care less.

In this wonderful Christian nation we played at 3pm on Good Friday, and have done for a number of years now.

Respecting occasions is no longer an excuse not to have a football match.

If you have to choose not to watch because you want to be at the funeral then that's a choice you should make. It shouldn't be made for you. Much like the utterly baffling decision to have BBC4 displaying a message all day yesterday whilst showing the content on the red button - it's just inconveniencing people for obsequiousness.

What if the players, managers, staff want to watch the funeral, should they be denied??

Can we have a pools panel result, it won't be 89 minutes of my life wasted after watching that feeble effort today.

They can watch it on catch up.

Slightly less flippantly, they are professionals getting paid to do a job that specifically impedes on national holidays and religious festivals e.g. Good Friday, Easter Monday, Boxing Day, New Years.
