Hi, I noticed last night that one of our board users Lee Miller was asking for pub recommendations on the Weekend Beer Thread and no one got back to him.

He was drinking in Eaglescliffe last night, could someone point him towards other good establishments on that side of the river.

That’s it - but it’s a high bar (see what I idid there)
 
There’s The Other Room (bar next to The Waiting Room) on Station Road. And The Pot and Glass in Egglescliffe if you like your hostelries old-skool.
 
I use the Eagle. But if you want a conversation forget it- the juke box is deafening despite lots of complaints

Big fan of the pot and glass. Apparently the food is excellent too.

Saw Matt Clarke in there over Xmas 👍
