Proposal for over 65's to retake driving tests

If you look at accident statistics, then the logic is that the under 25's should be taking their driving test regularly. They are 4 times more likely to be involved in a fatal accident than any other age group.
Its a totally different reason though isn't it? They're theoretically competent and would no doubt easily pass a test. Its more about risk taking. Harsher prosecution would potentially help with that
 
I've just driven from Normanby to Stewart Park. At the roundabout near the Fountain there is a compulsory right hand turn, but not for this young girl. Right hand lane and straight on cutting up the driver in front of me. What did she gain, 2 car lengths and stuck at the lights. Not helped with 2 of her 3 brake lights out, just shook my head at her while she waited to turn down Marton Road.
