Preston police give excellent running info for away fans - for travel, parking and pubs.

Cheers, I was thinking of turning up early to do the parkrun in Preston but what's that got to do with parking and pubs?
Oh ha ha. I mean Preston police on twitter will give advice before hand and through the day. They always appeal for away fans to relay any traffic hold ups also. But have a look on Friday and they will tell you about pubs.
There are various match day pay car parks around Deepdale. Look out for the signs and the hi viz guys. At schools and the like. Also street parking at say 15 mins walk away.

We were looking at Moor Park Social club as you can park and its club is away friendly. However one of the lads rang them to see what time they’d be open and was told 12pm. So although you can park there, if you’re wanting a pre-match pint you’ll have to look elsewhere.
Sincerely hoping they have a change of heart as that’s a lot of potential custom they’ll miss out on with a packed away stand.

Preston police really are brilliant. They welcome away fans as they would any other visitors to their town. I think last time we played them, the police tweeted a speeded-up video that showed the exact route to take to get from the train station to the best away pub.
Preston Police have tweeted - recommended pubs for Boro fans - and there is quite some choice.
They are also giving parking advice etc. Really worthwhile following @PNEPolice this week (twitter).

Thats really good information well done to PNE Police for the posts.
If you tune in later in the week - they will also highlight any possible traffic issues as well as keep you up to date if there are any incidents/traffic jams on Saturday morning.

Interesting to see they have a shuttle bus service - definitely something we should look into again at Boro I think..
