Press Conference - Watford

The Fry and Lenihan absences are absolutely bewildering. Does anyone know exactly what their injuries are?

Fry was pelvis or groin I think. It's obviously something that has reoccurred, he did play one pre season friendly at least.

Lenihan was achilles originally but he played pre season then picked something else up.

I think at least one of them was expected back and where one or both had set backs.. we moved for Edmunson

Thought Conway was out for a couple months? Great news if he'll be back after the international break.
Months ????
What has been the issue ?
I've stopped even looking anymore because Carrick tells you F.All about the nature of the injury - which, in and of itself is bizarre. The one thing Carrick gets wrong is info on injuries ; I agree that it is strategically correct to with hold info on the left back getting injured in pre season because any one watching would up their price for a replacement ; but day to day injuries need a little bit more info ; no harm communicating with the supporters of the club.

Conway had a niggle in training last week. Carrick said we'd have to see before West Brom and now said he is touch and go.

What more do we need to know?

Wonder if Clarke and Conway will need reintroducing to the group before they can play? After all it’s nearly two weeks since they played😉

Fry and Lenny will have forgotten who they play for it’s been so long, perhaps they’ll need a re unveiling before being reintroduced!

Just - a calf niggle...a hamstring niggle, a groin niggle....

A niggle at Boro is normally 6 months out.
Just say what the niggle is : what’s the freaking issue

Conway is "touch and go" for the Watford game.

Johnny has no chance of making the Watford game - may be available after the International break.

No new injuries after WBA game.

Ok but I don't understand why knowing it's his groin or his hamstring makes any difference.
Because we’d like to know….the nature of the injury could allow us at least some insight into how long it would take to recover or not….why is that hard or, at present, impossible to do ?

so if it was a groin niggle how long do you reckon and if a calf niggle how long do you reckon?

Tough, get used to it. I don't expect to be given injury updates on players that are out. Why would the management team want to give information to the opposition that might help them plan?
I’m not talking about constant updates am I. They don’t even tell us what the initial issue is; that’s all….doesn’t need to be chapter and verse….
