Press Conference - Leeds United

Deary me .. is Elland Road the toughest fixture on the calendar, how would you feel if Liverpool recalled Ben Doak and loaned him out to a Premier League team?

Please don’t tell me that was an actual question Carrick faced?

First rule of Ben Doak Club is.. you don’t mention Ben Doak.

Second rule of Ben Doak Club is.. YOU DON’T MENTION BEN DOAK

Some terrible questions asked as stated above. After that interview, I am surprised nobody asked if he’d been in a fight ffs. Journalism is in a poor state both locally and nationally. At least they didn’t ask him if he was a fan of Masterchef and then followed up on Gregg Wallace.

Farke said on SSN their first choice left back is out with a hamstring injury, picked against Derby.

I couldn't get the sound to work on our press conference, looks like I didn't miss much.

VDB - 4 weeks out (28 days) has become over 45 days, if he is unavailable for Leeds game. It would be useful to have him back.

Any mention of Morris? he's not played since November 9th.

VDB is back and training again with the players but they have to judge whether it is wise to throw him in after being so long out but also Fry and Edmundson are playing so well together.

Is this the new trendy look for Managers/Head coaches to look like they’ve gone ten rounds with the neighbours cat?

From Farkes press conference I think he is a bit worried. Blamed the Cup loss on players being in tears after learning Rutter was leaving and rotation. We rotated as much as them.

I think he hopes to erase it from collective memories. But it does give us belief. I reckon we get the ball forward quickly tonight to Doak and Lath. I think Lath might go left with Azaz and McGree in the middle so as to really split their defence. Need to find a way of preventing defence doubling up on Doak.

it's so strange because the last press conference was pretty good and its gone back to the same old boring pointless questions in this one

A good time to play Leeds - win lose or draw it won't define the season and we have a lot of home games against the runners and riders around us to come over the next half of the season:

Millwall
Burnley
Sheff Wed
West Brom
Sunderland
Watford
Leeds
Norwich

Boring for you - but for instance the Gazette is maybe asking the questions their readership want to have answered or that will make the basis of written articles - the skilled bit comes later when the journalist works around quotes that everyone has heard in the press conference and presents them in a story as if you are hearing them again for the first time.
I just try and ask something that comes to mind that has perhaps not been tackled and then I try to ask a final question to give a nice rousing end to the press conference. It is a piece of entertainment after all so if I can ask a final question that allows Michael Carrick to say some stirring words about the game then it is job done, I think.

That’s the absolute definition of ra ra
Don’t you believe you have a responsibility that you use your privileged position in the Press conference to try and do a bit more than give Carrick an opportunity to be positive

A bit like when Lynn asks Alan if he has any more tie and blazer badge sets :ROFLMAO:

I asked a question about Dijksteel and Ayling - a few weeks ago I opened up a new direction that I haven't seen reflected on here before about substitutes - not just a question of making changes too early or late - but how has 5 subs and the way you have to stagger them changed the whole thinking.
Ra ra - you say. I make no apologies for being a Boro fan and one that loves watching his team and devotes time so that others can have a platform talking about their club.
I am save my insults for those supporting other clubs.
