Can’t remember many opposition players slipping on the pitch. First thing Wood did on Sunday was slip and nearly lose the ball. No idea how modern boots work nowadays (studs) but think its more a footwear problem than a pitch problem.

I expect most pitches will be in a bad state. There will not have been time to prepare properly in summer.
We usually dig it up straight after the play offs but last summer we were playing on it.
Being forced to train on the Riverside could do us a favour.
