Good news - Boro have been talking to the Cameroon authorities about our worries and concerns about Siliki's fitness and it looks like the midfielder will start in two games for them during this international break - which is absolutely what he needs right now. Warnock could not have underlined enough this morning what a good player he is. Which is actually something he always says to me when I ask. He just needs to get fitter.

The manager probably has to deal with other clubs saying dont play our players or only use them in one game etc, probably pleasantly suprised to have us saying play him as much as possible.
I'm a bit concerned if we have. How would England fans feel if World Cup qualifiers were treated as a glorified fitness programme for clubs' players?
Cameroon are hosting African Nations Cup in January - it could be that we have an important player at our club for the host country at that tournament.

I don't think it's that we convinced them to play him to build his fitness, I think it's more that JLS was already in line to play in the upcoming fixtures and that has been communicated to Middlesbrough. Obviously I don't have the quote so that might be wrong, but that's the way I read it and seems more likely than Neil Warnock putting his foot down and demanding that his players play.
