Premier League and police to hold crisis talks over fan disorder

What are you talking about? And how do you know banning orders don't work?
How do you know that education doesn't achieve goals?
As to fan behaviour, most if us at that FSA meeting feel it is a change in society that has leaked into footballl.

I was reply to this quote in your post regards society.

At no point did I say banning orders don’t work. In some cases they might. They’re hard for the police to police though. A large number of cops who work matchday will have no idea who has a banning order.

Its society that needs to change and I agree with previous poster regards higher sentences - if the courts actually dished them out. Unfortunately, in a vast majority of criminal cases, they will not

Remember the queues to get in at Huddersfield, and the concourse was rammed at half time (surely too shall for that end). Not even a particularly large allocation.
Yes clubs have staffing problems of course they do but not opening enough turnstiles is a matter of public safety. At Elland Road there was nearly a serious crush of away fans.

We actually talked at length at the meeting and heard evidence from fans from clubs around the Championship. But what we were also there for was to think of actions that could help. But obviously that doesn't happen over night. However, sending away fan stewards to away grounds can help. Especially in things like preventing blokes using women's toilets - some using the toilets for drugs etc.
There is a behaviour shift to some extent I think and it is across society rather than saying it is just across football. But what on earth that has to do with being namby pamby and soft on people I do not know.

Because you talked about it creeping in from society, which I agree with.

What I’m saying is as a society we’re getting to soft. Allowing things to go. Criminal damage, littering, anti social behaviour, drug use, standard of driving. It’s not just football it’s everyday in every town.

And youll struggle to stop drug use in the toilets unless you watch people have a dump. I’ve said before that the amount of blokes who wait until they get to the match for a 5hite is unreal. Especially when you have a clean toilet at home
