Pre Season Training has begun

If Hemming has gone back to Kilmarnock does that mean we've only got one senior 'keeper on the books? And it was in the Northern Echo that he's on his way out, too.

I normally try to remain calm in June because deals can be slow to come together, but we've moved a LOT of players on and have another half a dozen or so still to shift or missing in action(Ikpeazu, Spence, Coulson, Hall, Ameobi, Akpom). This is the thinnest Boro squad in years.

I was pretty certain we'd have had at least a couple done, dusted and announced by now TBH.

Yeah it’s confirmed now. Roberts is having a medical. I wonder if Daniels is staying as a no 3 or whether he will be allowed to leave aswell. It’s good for Brynn and Hemming to get more game time and it’s a step up for them both too

The club must be close to bringing goalkeepers in because they've allowed four to leave in one window. Just seems a bit mad IMO. I was one who thought we'd needed a handful of additions this summer, but it's starting to feel like quite they've got a lot of work to get done if we aren't to be exposed like we were last season. We've severely weakened a squad that finished 7th... they probably need to be looking at ten new players don't they?

Wait until half way through next week, when the contracts are up, and it will really start to kick off. The merry go round will be in full flow then.

We wouldn't have let them go if we didn't have something lined up, or at least were not extremely confident.

My bet is we've got a few deals sorted, which will all be announced early July, then once they're confirmed can start to make offers on others saying "look who we have already got in" etc

We've sold a centre back who was never going to start for us, loaned out two young goalkeepers and loaned out a keeper who was nowhere near good enough and needed replacing.

Obviously decided not to renew the contracts of 3 aging defenders too.

We'll be making plenty of signings before the season starts in 6 weeks, we've not lost anyone we can't afford to lose yet.

Wilder clearly thinks none of the keepers are ready. I don’t mind it me. Roberts will sign soon and will be interesting to see who we get as no 1 and be interesting if Daniels stays or leaves

I think that training video shows how light we are. Only really McNair to come back I think, of the players that are going to play anyway. Uche, Akpom and Hall have clearly been told to not bother turning up as they aren't in CW's plans.

If we can get Lenihan, Roberts and a number 1 in (Butland, Darlow or Heaton), a LCB, Giles, and a couple of strikers (Gayle, Armstrong, Gyokeres, Archer etc) it will start to look a lot better. Add Howson to that list too.
 
And Boyd Munce. Although not the most important of players let’s be honest but still probs around the first team squad
