Potential Academy Spine.

I was just thinking, and it excites me.
Say we remained in the championship for next season. We could potentially have an academy spine in our side and it'd be absolutely fantastic

Sol Brynn would come in as Goalkeeper, he's proven himself to probably being the best keeper outside the championship for the last two seasons running.

Dael Fry - 200 appearences and counting for the Boro. He's boro through and through and will be here regardless of division, I'm certain.

Hayden Hackney - So effortless, how did Wilder not play him?

Josh Coburn - On fire at Bristol Rovers, already proved he can score in this league, a year experience and I think he's good to go.

That'd be incredible

I think a couple of others might make the fringes of the team too. Bilongo and Willis certainly seem to both have something. It's starting to look positive.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm not that bothered.

I want the best players available to us, if they're local and came through our academy, and are fans of our club I can see why that would mean more to them as players. But I don't get anything extra out of it as a fan personally.

I do like it when players from other locales come in and form a bond with the club/fans/area though, I noticed Marcus Browne still bigs us up on Twitter for example, and obviously players such as Friend or TLF spring to mind.

Be interesting to see if we sign a central 'big lad' striker and first choice keeper this window on permanent contracts. You would think if we do then utilising Brynn and Coburn next season as first choices would probably be less likely. And if we go up, as good as they both look at their respective levels currently I can't see them being considered as regular first teamers.
