Positive test

I'm guessing they test before everyone meets up tho.. right?

Wishing them a speedy recovery.
I think the players do their own tests now rather than at Rockliffe. Not entirely sure of the full procedure but it is different to the way premier league is doing it

Also hope who ever it is, player or backroom staff only has a mild version and recovers quickly

10 positive tests from 8 Championship clubs.

Might put a spanner in the works of them rushing it back.

It's interesting about footballers there almost like a control group... Quite a few testing positive but seemingly none with bad symptoms (I say that as it would be all over the papers if a footballer got it bad.)

It's almost like being superfit has some sort of health benefit?

It would actually be beneficial if they actually used their data for the good of science don't you think?
Should work with a scientist to map out everything they find.
Also we keep getting told that being super fit means nothing.

It can’t mean nothing. It improves your chances of recovery with everything.
Apparently It was a first team player who tested positive. Hopefully it’s one of them with no symptoms.

1% current infection rate amongst top footballers and their support staff at Championship clubs is high to me or am I missing something?

I've heard the figure is three times the official figure for england.. the official figure is lower than the actual figure.

less compliant, greater social circle, breath reaches further , more testing?

Its interesting to see how many positive tests there has been from the PL and championship, given that everyone is tested.

Until the government get ro grips with contact tracing the true scale of infection amongst the population is unknown, but the latest research suggests up to half of cases are asymptomatic, which suggets the policy of staying at home if you have symptoms to be flawed.

“the policy of staying at home if you have symptoms to be flawed.”

If you have symptoms you absolutely stay at home. Please explain why you think that’s flawed?

Think Jonny is stating that loads of infected people are not staying at home. Would it be impossible to set up a system to test everyone? Haven't they done mass testing in China for example. Why can't we do it?

So following contact tracing rules one has to assume that all those who have been contact with those tested positive will now be told to stay self isolated for 14 days?
