Reportedly receiving full pay throughout her Sky 6 month suspension she has flown off for a holiday on a £1500 a night South African game reserve.

Good to see her being so severely punished.🙄
 
What annoys me about all of this is she initially tries to lie about it then even once suspended she still comes out and releases a statement saying she had mistakenly broken the rules. Given she has reported on them for months it’s inconceivable she did not know That you cannot mix with people from outside your household at a restaurant and certainly not taking them back to your home. It’s bizarre that sky let her put out such a statement.
 
The holiday was pre planned and suspension on full pay is reasonably common in the commercial world.

Absolutely agree that trying to lie your way out of it is out of order. She also has to sow what she reaps. She has blasted the anyone who has broken the rules and ought to have expected she would be treated similarly.

The daft thing is this is really about ‘rule breaking‘ rather than any risk to public health.
 
As bad as she is at least she ( kind of ) fell on her sword albeit it pushed , but at least she never stood and stuck her two fingers up like Dominic Cummings .
I can barely watch mainstream TV now because it’s full of leaches , much like our government.
 
Perhaps she'll be haranguing the hyenas as she does to her "guests". Wonder if she's taken Beth Rigby with her to make it a fun holiday. 😬
 
It’s being reported now that her own junior producers shopped her; apparently they got sick of her bragging about how she was breaking lockdown rules so they tipped off photographers and told media.

How she’s kept her job I don’t know.
 
In the real world who actually cares... It doesn't change my life or world.

She did it. She got caught out. She's been suspended. Maybe more to come but surely beyond that it's done?
 
We may all be only human. But some of these humans think they're entitled to do as they please; that rules don't apply to them. And they don't mind preaching to us and patronising us at the same time.

He was a "rule maker" & then broke them. He should've gone over that.

She's meant to hold people in power to account & won't be able to do that now, at least over Covid, as they'll make her breach of rules part of their answer. Maybe it'll all be forgotten in six months.
 
I wouldnt mind betting that nearly every grown adult in this country has breached the rules at some point or have even committed actual crimes without even thinking about it or committed driving offences. What she does really does not impact on your life so I'm not sure why people are wanting blood.

Whilst I agree with some of your points Chris, she is in the public domain in a privileged position and should know better. Totally selfish attitude that she took, and she knows it. But just like selfish people, she doesn't give a stuff for all those who do stick to the rules in these hard times.

I understand what you're saying but to a certain extent we're all selfish when it suits us to be.

Yes she's got a job on the tele but she seems to be getting flack than footballers that went shagging on international duty or went out drink driving.

If she lost her job tomorrow what difference would that make to your life?

What would you like to see happen to her and what difference would that make to your life?
 
She has taken a long time to admit her mistake. If she been a bit more contrite I could except it more.
BTW I'm not asking for her head. and she knows that she is one lucky, lucky woman.
