Getting very defensive here for someone that's not offended.
I'm used to this board now, anybody who says anything remotely off charter they have to to explain their every action.
All I said was people get very offended on this board and judging by the reaction, I've been proved right as always.

I don't really care if anyones offended or not, my point was in general people get offended by things, call someone a thick **** then say they're weren't offended by the thing they were really offended by.
Just don't understand the banning when someone has called him a thick **** in the same post. 🤣

I don't think you specifically need to cause offence to he banned. You can post conspiracy theory lies. Makes sense really. This site is broadcasting to the world. It can't really be seen to be promoting conspiracies
 
It is important that people not be censored from posting, I think, unless it is clearly illegal etc. Backwards ideals, daft conspiracy theories and common tropes like the opening post, need to be laughed at, in public, otherwise it doesn't get countered properly. Having somebody post these daft things is worth it when it is followed by common sense replies and counter arguments.

I think it is good to know that people could actually be roped in by that cringeworthy, cliched little fictional exchange.

What conspiracy theory was being promoted? That fairy godmothers exist?

It looks like everyone agrees with the OP that oil based products are important in today's world.
As far as I can see, the examples given seem factually correct. If I am wrong and penicillin doesn't actually need isobutyl acetate I apologise.

The only 'crime' was mistakingly thinking that Greta Thunberg is advocating getting rid of oil completely, then trying to create satire around that to show it is almost impossible. Which most people probably already know anyway.
 
I don't think it was from just this thread. The poster was 'active' elsewhere.

Seems to be troll season right now. Maybe it's the weather?

Would you say he was having an honest debate?

I don't think he should be banned but the person (in my opinion) is either trying to engage in a dishonest debate or is not very bright!
