"Middlesbrough Ironopolis in talks to sign star striker"

We all know that the original Middlesbrough Ironopolis was formed in 1889 by some members of Middlesbrough FC, even though they only lasted for 5 years - so we're all part of the same family really

No, but They should have named the stadium ironopolis though as that’s much more imposing and unique than the riverside.

I’ve mentioned this before but I’ve still to meet anyone that voted for the riverside as our stadium name.

Would make no sense to just change the name of the football club. Maybe if and when we go back into liquidation and need a phoenix club name, once Gibson's finally been hounded out once and for all.

I voted for Erimus at the time, but like you haven't met anyone who voted for Riverside, although I seem to remember a big cheer when the new name was announced against Luton. Although in fairness given the atmosphere that day you could have announced it as 'The Mackem Slaying Arena' and it would probably have got the same jubilant reaction.

I've long suspected the name had already been decided and the vote was just going through the motions to make the fans feel as if they were involved.

Imagine if we had had to watch the Boro one week and Ironopolis the next because we couldn’t decide between the two?

How many divorces??

It could be the new Borussia Munchengladbach as cne of longest club names to fit on a scarf, plus imagine...give us an M,...all the way to S, would take ages.

No Chance.

some of us have got tattoo's yer know

i'd be for a complete change of colours , away from red, but i would be surprised if there would be as much as 1% who would want that to happen.
What colour would you have instead?
