Politicians blocking constituents on social media.

Seems there all at it.

X votes for whatever, you as a constituent aren't happy so question them on social media and he/she blocks you.

Right or wrong?

Who owns that social media account, you as a constituent or them as your representative?

Pretty quick way of losing voters if you ask me.

I don't bother voting, I've completely opted out...
Complete waste of time, doesn't really make a difference to our lives who gets into power.
Stick to the football (y)

I am still waiting for Chi Onwurah’s response to my polite email from about two months ago asking if she regards Bin Salman’s group as fitter for purpose as Newcastle owner than Mike Ashley, given the Bin Salman regime’s record on human and women’s rights and executions.

She’s so quiet.

It's completely wrong. They are public servants, they work for us, they need to man up, take the criticism and get on with their job. The only time they should block is if threatened with violence.

Michael Vaughan once blocked me when I had twitter

was harping on about political statements being at Glastonbury and in a polite way I mentioned to him that he may want to do some research about the history of Glastonbury

James Wharton, Simon Clarke, Ben Houchen & Matt vickers all have me blocked on social media and all were for asking genuine questions around their policies or around facts they had shared.

I’ve seen people say Paul Williams blocked them for disagreeing, yet every post on social media I see the same names cropping up on his posts challenging him, having digs etc so I can’t believe it’s because they disagreed when he gets hounded by the brexit brigade, and they were constantly free to do so. I know at least one was claiming to have just disagreed but was completely insulting all the time, which is fair enough. But you shouldn’t be getting blocked for asking a question.

I did some 'work experience' in an MP's office in the Teesside area (not saying which person or party for obvious reasons)

Their software knows everything about you.... all your previous votes in GE and Local elections - every area is mapped down to each household..... (there's lots of blue households in Teesside - this was before the Brexit vote btw - so i wonder how it all looks like now with a tory majority )
