Measures to speed up funerals include: * Removing need for jury inquests * Enabling health professionals other than doctors to sign off cause of death certificates * Doctors will not be required to see body of deceased

They didn’t say it was pointless, they said everything is under constant review and is subject to change

That said it seems mental that they’ve made a decision now but want to wait a week to implement it. Feels like people are doing more than the government so their hand has been forced
