Police called

Wilder will know the level of performance, attitude & approach in training & in general is going... if it really is not adding to the team & squad it may be better to tell him not to bother turning up & stay in Brighton for the remainder of the season.

We know how disruptive to a squad players with poor attitude can be, so - if Wilder - sees it as being a problem, cut him lose & go with the 4 strikers for the run in - that would certainly back up Wilders statement that players need to prove they are here for the challenges ahead or informed they can go..

I am going to go out on a limb here and predict that he wont score a hat trick against Bournemouth (or any other club whilst on loan for Boro)

I just dont see it, in fact I just don't get the point of him at all. Brings nothing whatsoever to the first team and the fact that he is consistently in the starting 11 is more of a damning indictment of the current crop of strikers than a positive comment on his ability.
He’s an improvement on what we had previously and he has the potential to improve massively. Plus we could afford him and he wanted to come!

Yeah, if he scores 3 against Bournemouth everyone will be over the moon. Ask any boro fan if they would like to see Aaron Connolly score two goals a game and get us promoted..

THAT overhead kick.. everyone wanted him to score of it.
Wanting him to do well at this moment in time and celebrating AFTER he scores a hattrick are different things.
At this point I don't think every Boro fan wants him to do well. There is a fair number who would be happy if he was shipped back to Brighton and never played for us again.

Pretty daft to start shipping premier league strikers back with everything still to play for.

Definitely fake news, refers to Connolly as one of the Premier League’s hottest prospects!

There's also a fair number who will want him to fail just so they'll be able to say, "I told you so".

Sometimes people get confused between what is a hot prospect and what is the finished article.
Example: Djed Spence

Made his first team debut at the age of 17

2019–20 Premier League 24 3 1 0 2 1 27 4 19yo scored 2 goals on his Prem debut
2020–21 Premier League 17 2 0 0 0 0 17 2 20yo
2021–22 Premier League 4 0 0 0 2 2 6 2 21yo scored 2 goals against Swansea in the cup
2021–22 Championship 14 2 2 0 0 0 16 2 22yo

Lightning doesn't strike twice I'm afraid and you don't make 45 premier league appearances by accident and you don't score 5 times in the premier league on luck

I think there are a few telling things that I've seen this lad do.. the tattoo of him on his premier league start where he scored two goals, he came out and publicly stated how much the comments from Brighton fans had hurt him and effected him, he turned white as a ghost when the prospect of taking a penalty was upon him at Old Trafford. The latest thing with the police or whatever shows that perhaps he has been affected by external influences.. he's a young lad and it's perfectly understandable. The most interesting part in all of this are the actions his is making to get back to that level, to get game time under his belt, to cut out the distractions and become the player he is capable of being.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Wilder is keeping an eye on him with a view to making his move a permanent one. For all the whispers and rumours of him being a precocious troublemaker.. he works very hard for the team and is extremely generous to his team mates on the pitch.
