Poland vs Sweden WC Playoff

Glad to see the Swedes going out. They are a very dull side.
They had the Poles on the ropes for much of the first half but didn't get that all important first goal. Actually I think they played the better football and showed a lot great moves only to be denied by poor finishing.

Yes won't argue with that. I just found that they added very little to the last two tournaments. And their lack of firepower has done them in the play off.

Thought it was odd that they only brought on Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they went 2-0 down, surely would have been better to bring him on when they went 1-0 down?

I must admit I was at the semi v Czech Republic and it was a struggle at times.

There's still a tradition of solid, defensively sound and well organised football in Sweden (largely thanks to the impact Roy Hodgson made years ago). It's a shame as the current generation has some very skilful, exciting attackers (Elanga, Isak, Kulusevski, Forsberg etc). They're not ones to change up their manager too frequently but I would like to see a slightly more progressive coach given a shot. Graham Potter started his managerial career there, might be a good shout in future.

That said, they're also one of those international sides who suffer from having a few very good players with some very average players filling out the side.
