Points on the Game

1. We played some lovely football at times.

2. We need to be more clinical in front of goal - too many chances wasted.

3. Hayden Hackney is an outstanding prospect.

4. Macgree played well.

5. Too many crosses go to nobody.

6. Jones still below par.

Still not scoring. There are chances - not enough good ones - but the finishing is absolutely terrible. Neil Maddison said the strikers aren't working together, all at the near post or all the far post for example.

And it's hard to believe they ever practice shooting.

And why doesn't Jones cut inside all the time, instead of going to the goal line and cutting it back? Going inside compresses the defence and reduces the space for the strikers. Head straight to the touchline and a cut back will make defending so much harder, with more space for strikers to run into.

forss was v good shouldnt have been taken off, especially for crooks,it was like a man down then!!!!
The thinking there will have been that we were putting in crosses that Crooks might get a head onto but Forss wouldn't.

Got to say, Wilder might still be in a job if Hackney and Forss were given a chance. They have been brilliant the last few games. Only reason I can think for them not getting a chance is that Wilder was trying to prove a point to the board.

Biggest problem today was finishing our chances. Forss and McGree both had chances they really should have finished. But at least we didn't lose the game and there were encouraging signs.

Hopefully the last time we see Crooks up front especially when there are two strikers on the bench.

Thought Lenihan and Fry looked solid again but that goal was sloppy from everyone.

Hackney and Howson look much, much better than any other midfield pairing or trio we’ve seen this season.

Must be frustrating for players like Muniz and Hoppe to see Crooksiniho come on as striker for last 20 minutes or so.
Guess it was worth a shot but despite being 6'5" the tree really hasn't scored many headed goals in his career.
Please don't do it again Mr Carrick.

BTW those two free kicks at the end were particularly awful

I don't think Muniz can complain. He's been useless recently. I'd have liked to see him come on though.
