Good post if hes a good manager he should be able to adapt. I think we all know this squad is very weak but its not bottom 3. If he can't get results its on him ultimately.It's not knee jerk, or indeed what I think should happen. In the modern game though it is the inevitable consequence of failing to provide results.
We played some of the best football in recent memory last season under Carrick when he had the talent available to not only retain possession, but also to outscore teams on a regular basis. We no longer have that ability in the squad, or at least it hasn't shown itself to be there yet and hence he will need to adapt his tactics to try and get the best out of the current squad. If he insists on trying to play like we did last season then we'll struggle and results will ultimately seal his fate.
Be interesting if he sticks or twists against a saints team who leak goals.
