PMQs - Sunak: "But Corbyn"

“So, will the Tories eventually realise their error, and resume their tradition of picking leaders with more ordinary backgrounds? "My gut feeling would be yes, they will," says Kynaston, who doesn't fancy the chances of their assumed leader-in-waiting. "It would seem pretty unlikely that they would actually go for Boris Johnson as the next leader. I think it'll go back to the old pattern: Heath, Thatcher, Major, Hague.”

I'm liking the Labour front bench, only change I'd make is moving Jess Phillips into a higher profile position. The difference in Raynor and Starmer works well for me. And Starmer has come on a lot these last few months. Granted he has a good script to work with, the best in years, but he's handling it well.

The Tory utter desperation for me is best shown by their reference to Corbyn, is that really all they have? Even Joe Public will see right through that.

Sunak is poor and the rank and file can see that..... don't be surprised if the fat clown is sat back in the seat before the next GE.

To be fair they used the “winter of discontent for decades” so it’s classic Tory play book.

I agree I really like Jess especially how you see how much she hates the tories with a passion.

Yes, that contrast between Starmer and Rainer works.

Next time he raises the "You supported Jeremy Corbyn" line, the response should be "By being a failure you enabled Liz Truss to become PM and add £500/year to everyones mortgages".

That's going to be Sunak's political epitaph, "Lost a leadership battle to Liz Truss".
or 'came third to a lettuce'. We could make a footy chant out of that.

It's about time Starmer took the Corbyn Panic Button away from Rishi. Phrasing his questions better could easily make Rishi look even more stupid. Or perhaps Starmer enjoys the predictability of Sunaks stock response, knowing full well that the whole house and the electorate clearly see it for the desperate dead cat distraction it is.

He's a bit useless at PMQ, as bad as the Trussbot, possibly even worse.

Wwwwoooossssssshhhh 🙄

I get the Tories would hate Corbyn who fought his entire life against inequality, racism, and for social change and more public say in the country

Anyway, you clearly haven’t understood the concepts in this thread so 🤷🏻‍♂️
No whoosh at all here

I'm pretty sure that this week they will bring out the photos of Michael Foot in a donkey Jacket at the Rememberance ceremony 40 years ago.
They wont dare anymore after Johnson showed up a few years ago looking like he was stil pi**ed from night before.

They did get the BBC to edit it out of all non live news reports though

EDIT sorry Trug - should have read rest of thread before replying
