I couldn't believe we paid £5m for Nicky Barmby, I thought he was overrated, was some serious money back then.

Absolutely, wasn't expecting even 50% of what he did here.
Hence , I was amazed we signed him. Felt like a recipe for disaster, and it wasn't

Not that I thought he would be “rubbish” as such, was just a bit…meh….about his signing and thought we could have got someone better. I also had an Ipswich supporting friend who said that he was nothing special.

I was very, very, very wrong. What an incredible signing he turned out to be.
 
Another shout for Dimi - initial thought was "Hartlepool reject, will never get on the pitch" but fcuk me, what a legend!
 
The ultimate one has to be Chuba doesn't it? his redemption arc from somebody that nobody would of been @resed about leaving on a free pre season to.... well we all know what happened next :love:
