Player of the Year link

Just voted for him and for his first goal against Blackpool as goal of the season. In fact, watching those back is just a Chuba highlights reel, with a bit of Riley McGree thrown in for good measure. My most enjoyable one was probably the one v Sheff Utd, as you could see it coming but class nonetheless. However, thought the one v Blackpool was great skill.

I've gone for Chuba Akpom as Player of the Year and Riley McGree's goal at Blackburn as Goal of the Season.

Not McGree's goal against Norwich?

I suppose it didn't involve a clean assist, but it's the best finish of the bunch for me.
Superb.

Both belters.. I just think the execution at Blackburn was harder, and the build up play was nicer too.

The goal at Norwich he's running onto in a straight line, it's bouncing nicely for him to leather it.

That volley at Blackburn..the ball comes from the side, technically a more difficult finish to execute.

Obviously just opinions, of course. There's no right or wrong answer.

Obviously Chuba, but a very hard choice on the best goal. Ended up going for Forss vs Cardiff as it seemed to be the best example of the superb standard of team attacking we've enjoyed this year. Could have been any of them really though, plus a few not shortlisted.

Me too. To get that chip to float down like that is a hard skill - and the build up was good too. Some good goals, but that shaded it for me.

The fact that Blackpool goal took a slight deflection rules it out of the running for goal of the season me (I know, I'm a harsh bar steward).

Can't think of anyone apart from Chuba. Can see him getting 90% plus of the voting. He massively deserves it.

I think Jonny Howson's form would make him a fair contender in other recent seasons, but not this one.

Well done Chuba, never doubted you for a second. 😐

Chuba should be getting the EFL player of the year as well as Boro.

Bronhill and Gyokeres have both had great seasons, but Chuba's goals, hold up play, intelligence, dribbling, and work rate will win it. He's had a better season than Bamford when he won it.
