Free agent as of today. Only 31. Carrick will know him better than most. Wouldn’t be surprised in the least to see him brought in as club captain
 
No chance, his bodies done, he can’t manage more than a couple of games a month without being crippled, I expect he’ll retire rather than try and play on, he hasn’t managed a single training session this season and only managed a handful of games the season before.
 
Isn’t he always injured, and has played about 10 games in 4 years?

He sounds like a very smart addition, and captain too you say?
 
Thought we were looking at young players with plenty of resale value ? He doesn’t fit the model . His wages will also be extortion for championship too

I imagine some club will be tempted on a pay as you play deal though
 
I think Roy Keane sums up the feelings on why you want someone in the squad that isn't fit enough to play.

 
Not a chance, turned down moves away from Man Utd just to pick up a wage knowing he wouldn’t ever play. Had too many players like that over the years
