Phil Foden goal yesterday

Sorry, I’m not clever enough to post links…🙈

25 yards out, loads of players in front of him, didn’t even hit it that well. Deflected and in.

Hope Wilder and the players were watching. That’s the kind of goal we NEVER score because we don’t shoot!

Timo Werner scored for Chelsea last night with a tame shot that took a deflection and found it’s way past Ramsdale into the Arsenal net. Same adage, you don’t shoot, you don’t score!

Thanks for the link. Such a simple goal. While we pass it sideways and backwards and sideways and backwards.……..etc.
I do agree but let’s be honest city also do their fair share of passing it sideways and backwards and shooting from distance is usually a last resort for them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Foden got rollicking off Pep for shooting from there tbh.

I don’t mind keeping possession in the final third. A lot of the last decade we’ve struggled to keep the ball for more than a single pass in that postcode.
