I don't think it's an agenda, some people are just naturally pessimistic - in my view it's a coping mechanism to avoid disappointment - I notice the same people pop up on the cricket threads when England lose an early wicket and suddenly it's oh no collapse coming here, he's rubbish etc. There’s a couple of posters that seem to constantly talk the club and our players down,
I’ve never understood why any Boro fan would do that.
I’ve noticed again today the same people arguing down our players it’s almost like they have an agenda.

This tooIt's the satisfaction they get in wanting to be proved right.
"I told you so" etc
Being a ra Ra has to better than being a realist. I always think it's wrong not to want to win cups because it makes athletes tired.Sometimes the opposite is true though and people won’t allow any criticisms or concerns. For the longest time on here you were called a bed wetter for daring to doubt karanka, monk, club signings or critiquing performance in a game. It’s healthy to have both sides.
This last line is the truest thing I've ever read. In the mid "noughties" (sorry I hate that phrase bit it's a useful shorthand) I used to go and see Barcelona play a lot. One game I was sat in front of someone who spent the entire game slagging Ronaldinho off. As someone who has seen Richard Liburd play for his team, it seemed a bit extreme but some people just are never happy.Haha this isn't exclusive to boro though, it goes on everywhere.
I know united fans who think Bruno is overrated and city fans who say sterling is the worst player they've ever seen (yeh worse than pollock if you can imagine that).
I went to a few stoke games with one of my mates and stood in the away end for one of their games at crystal palace - honestly 100 million times worse than anything I've heard in the boro end.
Football fans are a special breed
