People incapable of standing at the seat they reserved at away games

I wish the swines would sit in the seats they paid for. I’m a short fella 5” 7’ and have given up away games (been going since methuselah was a lad) cos I can’t see a thing these days

Went to Ipswich years ago and the stewards said if you want to stand get to the back and let the seated people watch the game. Some inconsiderate people about

Got to our seats to see a bunch of lads in them told them to move they ignored me so told stewards they moved then!

This has always happened.

Difference is that in the past if they didn't move after being asked politely then you could heckle them a bit. 'Move out the way you fat c***' 'move your ars* you ugly basta**' etc. With the amount of coke these lads take now it's very risky to get into a verbal exchange.

Ended up being crammed in at Bradford as 2 -3 lads (mid teens?) wanted to stand with their mates next to us. Weren't bad lads, well behaved just a bit of a squeeze. No huge problem.

But the number of booze/coked up absolute bellends at away games......yeah can definitely see the frustration and reluctance to confront.

I remember Sunderland away (last season, not this season) and as I went to my seat, 5 lads - around 18-20 years old - were stood in front of the 4 seats we were allocated.

Kindly asked them to move, got little bit of verbal whilst one commented to his mate 'Looks like these lot are first timers'....Safe to say after further 'discussions' with the same lads, they all swiftly moved without any more smirky remarks.

Anyone going to Leeds I strongly suggest you get to your seat early, as many will turn up and not like their restricted view or want to stand with their mates.

I’m taking my kid with me and we have specifically selected a place where they will be able to see, so anyone in our seats will be getting shifted but I’d rather get there a bit earlier and avoid the aggro.

Was good to see you too!

Sadly, it is a sign of the times that many people do whatever they want and fuq the rest. Maybe I'm getting more cranky as I get older, but I seem to notice these selfish acts more and more as time goes by.

It's not hard to be considerate towards your fellow humans. Sitting in the seats you are allocated is hardly a big ask.

Always move to a place where fans are standing and offer my seat to someone else.
That`s the problem with away games - never know who you are going to end up sitting next to.
A home, for instance, you know that the whole of the South Stand - stands up, but in the East and West you sit down. There are a few at the back of the North Stand who stand up. Get back to safe standing at grounds and they`l be no problem.
People stand at Wembley - even outside of the safe standing area.
So lets get on with it.

It’s not just people standing up, it’s people standing in aisles and standing going into rows that can’t accommodate them which is resulting in people not being able to see the game they’ve paid good money to watch.
