I don't think any of those goals are down to not 'commanding the box' (on overstated comment) or defenders not having confidence in him. It was simply rank bad defending, diving in, turning back on the ball, not getting tight....the basics of defending. Without Ayala they look weak at the back.

Warnock partly let him go because he would go for free in the summer, how much is down to getting a fee and getting an unhappy player out the door, and how much is down to his belief in a player is up for debate. It is a game of opinions and I respect yours Boromart, but I have to say this is one area I feel quite confident on. He was hesitant on crosses and didn’t communicate with the defenders as often as he should before an attempt on goal came in, he was an ok shot stopper, after a goal was conceded, that was a different matter, he was vocal then. He is not the tallest, he can’t do anything about that mind, I really wish him every success. I do think the fact Warnock has let him go, that he must have come to the same conclusion as a few of us on here did.
Nevertheless, he is young and will learn. A change of scenery will do him good and Mogga is a good coach, so hopefully he develops. He reminded me of Steele and Roberts.
