Pearl Jam Tickets on Sale today

Two shows but got in on Presale but decided to give it a miss. Ticket prices are just getting daft.

Tottenham £125 to £157 and Manchester £160.50p. All for a big stadium show getting ripped of with beer/food prices etc.
Echo that asred. Just ridiculous. Even Alice Cooper and Primal Scream just cost me £60 per ticket. (I saw AC at Crop Redy a few years ago and he was excellent, so keen to see him again).

I'd love to go too - but I'm not going to bother either.
Zagreb music festival end of June - 3 days for around £100 - nice to visit the city too

I have made a conscious decision for the last 12 months to see bands on the way up in stadiums . The prices I have seen for Pearl Jam/ AC/DC etc have been close to alienating fans. I have tickets to see 10 or so bands before July and not paid more that £50 a ticket. ( still more than I wanted to pay but feel dynamic pricing is getting out of hand). Still lots of opportunities on Twickets if you are flexible and happy to travel for cut price tickets on the day of concert.

I paid £70 (plus booking fee) to see Madonna last year which I thought was ok in the current climate.

£160 for Pearl Jam is nuts, but if they sell out they’ll see it as justified, and even wonder if they should have charged more.

My perspective changed when I saw the Stones in Hyde Park in 2013 and they were so quiet you could hear people’s conversations around you, it was crap. Though I did see them in 2006 and they were excellent.

It’s money for old rope for a lot of these acts.

Went on presale before deciding the tickets were too expensive. I was surprised that there was only 3 people in the queue before me at the Tottenham one but over a thousand at Manchester.

Would really like to have seen them again but would not pay that had they been backing Neil Young as the did previously. Still got

01/03 Withered Hand, 14/03 Big Country /Icicle Works, 23/03 Echo &The Bunnymen, 30/3 Everything Everything, 22/05 The Mountain Goats, 31/05 Reizillos, 07/06 Ferocious Dog,
20/06 Reds Pinks & Purples, 05/07 Libertines, 20/7 Monument,

Then in August at Victoria Park in London Postal Service/Death Cab For Cutie/ Decemberists/ Teenage Fanclub/ Phoenix/ Gossip/ Sleater-Kinney/ Yo La Tengo/Teenage Fanclub/ Wednesday/Soft Launch all for £80.

And others still to book Wasted Youth, Kimono My House Tribute at The Georgian, Francis of Delirium. Plus Eaglefest is on again this year.

Those prices do contradict the image of the band.
Maybe its for a good reason like when RATM toured Europe(I went to one and it was one of the best gigs of my life) and used the money to fund a free gig in Finsbury Park to say thanks for getting 'killing in the name' to No1 instead of Pop idol or whatever it was.

I’ve been in the Ten Club for over 20 years and I had the chance to get a ticket last Wednesday for Manchester. £160? No thanks. I’ve seen every show they’ve done over here since 2006 and it looks like that run will come to an end. There’s no way I’m paying that.
