Payero?

Supposed to be going for big bucks to some unknown European club after Boca buy him off us, in an already agreed deal all on the back of his time here and his time back at Boca or so a few have claimed on here. so sorry I don't have a clue but hope to see him run out in some pre season friendlies and hopefully Carrick can get him kicking on.

Boca have an option to buy.. £4m? but just want another loan.. £2m? somehow they are going to sell him to Atlanta (Italy) or Man Utd for £10m.. clearly something lost in translation.

Its a long time since we saw him play for Boro - QPR away in Feb 2022.

It will be interesting to see if he has improved while at Boca - certainly a step up from his previous club. He is certainly more experienced.

Footballers are pros who know that managers come and go at clubs. He will probably look and see that we've got a new manager who seems to be getting the best out of the players, Why would he NOT want to come back when we've got a manager who could get the best out of him too?

He might prefer to be on home territory thousands of miles away.
He hasnt had the best experience at Boro has he?

Footballers are also humans before they are pros. Carrick if he is considering Payero, and why wouldn't he,has hopefully started a charm offensive to get him back on board. The few times I have seen him in a Boro shirt has had Leo come and give him a big hug, so i imagine because of the language barrier Leo might be part of this getting Payero to give it a big go again.
