Payero medical at Boca Juniors tomorrow

I’m sure we signed him before Scott was officially appointed. Whether Payero was one that he tipped us off about we’ll never know.

One thing I would say is that our signings so far this summer have all been great additions and hopefully we’ll be able to say the same about the rest of our business this window. It certainly feels like we’ve moved on from where we were.
 
He's had terrible luck with injuries ever since he got here. I'd have liked to have seen more of him on the pitch before we gave up on him. If he's homesick, then fair enough. I wish him well.

Seriously I agree with you mate - and a couple of injuries at times when he was just getting a bit of game time were unfortunate timing
 
What standard is Argentine league football?

Most of their national team play in Europe - don't they?

Boca Juniors apper to be the Celtic of Argentina i.e. excellent support but not got the funds to pay English Premier League wages

Anyway can everyone talk about incoming players not outgoing ones - me and Phil are looking at Boro's future, not the past.

It's Steve, mate. How many times do I have to say it? Bumface is more of a ceremonial title. I only get to call myself that because I'm the clan leader at the moment. I'm just Steve most of the time.

What makes you think they’re better than us? Huge club with a lot of history for sure, doubt they’re currently a better team though.

They’ve lost more games than they’ve won this season.
 
Gazette are saying MFC paid 4m Euros for Payero - that's about £3.3m at the time.

and Boca are paying his wages in full.

It creates another place in the MFC squad for a loan or free transfer.
