Arsed - I agree Redcar has seen better days - but Kirkleatham is a little hidden gem.

Looking forward to the new Pier Cinema in Redcar with cafe over the sea/beach and Sea Breeze is a top chippy.

Redwurzel I have lived in Redcar since 1980. From Boro but always drank in. Redcar. Hydro, Coatham, Jazz Club, Red Lion and now Pig and Whistle. It's home for me and I would not live anywhere else. Great people and great friends here. Many of Redcars issues are down to bad council decisions as much as anything.
Agree about the places you mention although the fish is better at Scrumptious and not Sea Breeze.
