Paul Scully - yet another Tory MP standing down at the next GE

I wonder if they would stand down if they had a chance of winning.
Now is the time to grift to the maximum. The hard work and favours have been done over the last decade. Running the country into the ground and diverting billions to Tory backers.

It's time to collect on those favours now, the ex Tory MP's will sit on company boards, take up consultancy roles etc, earning millions for very little.

It stinks but is the Tory way. They have done it since Victorian times. Whilst the average man made little from the Industrial Revolution and was barely above a slave, thousands of others died pillaging across the globe at the behest of their betters.

Did the country benefit as a result or did a small number of families? That wealth remains in those families, they continue to influence and corrupt. They underpay taxes, whilst taking every handout available. The country suffers and the working man continue to be oppressed.

Global corporations have joined this elite grift but the Tory party is the mechanism for it.

Why else would billionaire want to be a PM? It's certainly not to be a public servant, it's selfish influence, greed and corruption.

The worst thing is, these people aren't even bright, their wealth allows them to create greater wealth. Look at the cess pit that is the Tory party, they are a bunch of complete freaks.

It does look like they are going to lose at least 50% of their seats - in some seats they must be clear outsiders to win for seats they currently hold.

Could change title to 3 more Tory MPs if you wanted to

Maybe an anti-Labour poster from 'the left' can highlight a Labour MP retiring to get a back and forth whataboutery argument going....
You've noticed threads getting hijacked and steered away from the subject matter because it doesn't suit someone's agenda? Shocked I tell you 🤣

Is it who I think it is ?, it should have dawned on me earlier, I did see something a good while back about the mayor of Middlesbrough Mr Preston at the time. I didnt realise there was a little gang of not just shills but anti labour. I wondered recently about the middle east posts too, if there was something not quite right.
Live and learn. Well going home just now for good :)

Wonder if these Tory deserters are going to hand in a no confidence in spinal along with their intention to not stand. They need to blame someone for being left in an unelectable position

Nope. They won't want to draw attention to their failure; they'll want to stay as far as possible away from the upcoming election.

It's like not being part of a relegated side in football.

At the last general election, on 12/12/2019, the Tories had an 80 seat majority.

It is now just 46. A further 62 Tory MP's have so far announced they will not stand for re-election at the next one which will be sometime in the next 10 months.

To add context, 17 Labour MP's are standing down, 9 SNP, 2 SF, 1 PC, Caroline Lucas the Green MP and Six independents which includes former Conservatives Matt Hancock, Crispin Blunt, Julian Knight and Bob Stewart and two former Labour MP's Nick Brown and Conor McGinn.

This is surely quite an embarrassing acknowledgment of failure.

You've noticed then? Any opportunity to criticise Starmer and/or Labour and they're on it like a car bonnet 🤣
