Patrick Roberts confirmed

Neil quoted in the Getsett:
“He might not start every game, but we’ve got so many games coming up and we are wafer-thin.

“I had a good chat with him yesterday and he’s really looking forward to it. I think if he can get his head up and be confident…

“And I think he’s coming into a different team than the one he played in last year. We are a different team and I do think he’ll get good balls in and be in areas where he is dangerous.”

i.e if we can get his head up and shoot or pass the ball after he has beaten three players. Let’s hope so.

I agree👍

He looks class until the final ball or decision. I thought many times last season that he'd 'done the hard bit' now just shoot or cross.

That said he's a massive improvement on what we have. The fact he beats 2-3 players is something we don't have. He is also a free kick and potential penalty magnet. He direct and great in a tight space (that's what she said😂). He also has a decent delivery and seemed to link up well with Fletcher (not ideal at the mo).

I think if he stays fit and a bit of coaching from Warnock he could be a real player for us. The key is getting 30+ games out of him👍

Totally agree with that. Amazing talent, who scored the most important goal of the season, but he does dwell on the ball too long at times.

I guess if he made the right decision everytime and had more 'end product' he wouldn't be signing for us.

The very nature of a prem player going out on loan every seasons says he's 'missing something'. He's still miles ahead of any of our lot. You could see that 45mins into his debut and when he came back from injury.

He just 'sticks out' 👍

He's also coming into a better managed and more organised team. I agree with Warnock as in its a different Boro to the one he joined last summer.
