Patio Heater Gas + Cylinder

I am after some advice please. I have just taken delivery of a patio heater so I can sit outside with a few of my family not in my bubble (and within Covid Guidlines). However I am struggling to fine anywhere that can supply the cylinder and gas. Everywhere i look I get a message that they are only doing refils and/or exchange and do not have cylinders to buy. I really did not think this would be a problem but it appears that I am not the only one thinking about sitting with a heater on the patio over Christmas.

I thought I had read on the forum that someone was able to supply the gas and cylinders but my search does not bring this up.

Do you have any ideas regarding the purchase/supply of a 13kg propane gas cylinder in the Middlesbrough region?

Calor Gas at Port Clarence should be able to sort you out

If you're struggling look on facebook for an empty or half full bottle. You can change the size within its group so even if you can find a 5kg bottle you can switch upto a 13kg and pay the difference.
 
Thanks Boro_Boro_Boro but they are currently not supplying them. Last week they posted that it was exchange only and now they are posting that they are not available.
 
If you can get your hands on a bottle the following usually do the exchange at a decent price

Morrisons Garage's
B&M (with a garden centre only)
Range
go outdoors

Have a look on Ebay as there is one company that do deliver nationwide with the price of a new bottle too.

I use him for gas for my pizza oven, I get 19kg for £35 delivered with no deposit on the bottle (which is a big payment usually!)

It can sometimes be a little dark round Port Clarence . What I’ve done in the past on entering that site is light a Taper to watch my way . Amazing how everyone runs like mad though and I can never find anyone to serve me !🤔
 
Had the same problem over the summer, needed 4 for our new business. Managed to pick them from friends and from buying groups on facebook. Once you have the canister there are lots of outlets than can exchange for a full one.
 
Anyone know a decent engineer for servicing a portable heater ? I’ve looked online but lots of the depots are shut so would have to be mobile

Thanks TheFair86. Brian sorted me out with the gas and cylinder plus a new regulator to fit his bottles. I have genuinely been looking for a bottle on gumtree and e-bay but the closest I could find was in Newcastle. The gas is easy to come by but finding a cylinder during lockdown and near Christmas has been a nightmare.

It just goes to show what a great community we have here on FMTTM and your help is greatly appreciated. I can now sit round my new patio heater with a few of my family and drink mulled wine :).
Thanks also to all the other posters who offered help. I did go to Shell at Preston Farm but they wanted to do a bottle swap.
