Parking Eye fine

I'm sorry if I offended you Willow. It's just frustrating to see really old advice discussed when it comes to people potentially being taken to court. It's not a nice process, especially when these cowboys use the system and the fear of it to their advantage.

I didn't mean it to come across as directly AT you; but can appreciate that it might have.

parking operators are supposed to give drivers a “grace period” of 10 minutes to leave the car park before they take enforcement action. Do not give in these bullies.

I had a run in with the same company in the same car park. I did park there like for about 15 mins. I was not the named driver not the main policy holder so the ticket went to my stepdad. Told them he wasnt the driver but they insisted on it. I emailed them telling them to issue it to me and they reckoned they couldnt as it was too late and would be taking my stepdad to court. I emailed back and said id love to see that when i have told you i am the driver good luck pursuing someone who they know wasnt the driver. Needless to say they lifted the ticket. A reissued ticket in my name never turned up either.

Personally I would take advice on here with a pinch of salt and if you must take advice from online forums, then use http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60

I received a couple of parking fines from Newcastle Airport a few years back and used this forum for advice and help and it was brilliant.

Refused to pay the fines (or invoices as such) and received a couple of warning letters stating I was due to be taken to court.

I then turned it on the head and started threatening them with Data Protection etc and they soon stopped sending me letters.
