Pancakes for Tea

A fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, onions, pepperoni.
Put it in a hot oven for 20-30 mins.

Oh I forgot to say, I swap the pancakes for a flat bread dough.

Or, swap the pancake for a pitta bread - then toast it and fill it with donner meat, salad and chilli sauce.

Have always despised pancakes but the daughter loves them. So just made her 3 with sliced bananas, strawberries and good old Nutella (given 20 seconds in the microwave so it's easily spreadable but not too liquidy)

Went with honey and lemon today, it was lovely.

Not sure why I only have them once a year, as they're so easy to make and I do actually enjoy them.

Bananas and golden syrup, just polished off.

And today, an addition to my vast bank of shocking knowledge gaps. What we call Pancake Tuesday is elsewhere 'Mardi Gras' - literally 'Fat Tuesday'. How didn't I know this?!

I have never heard of that and have only heard of Shrove (Pancake) Tuesday.

Every day's a school day. ;)

I knew that. Do I get to feel all superior to you now? That isn't going to work. I might have better knowledge, but you still have the best hair.

I'm going to have mine now and have decided to have honey on mine as recommended by Teacider.

The wife got some local honey - Upsall honey.

Nutella. Sounds good but how do you apply it to the pancakes?
Cook first pancake as normal. Cook one side of next pancake. Flip, cover with Nutella, place the first pancake on top whilst still on the heat of the pan. Nutella melts beautiful and roll - delicious

Superior to me is no measure. What I yearn for is the day I reach Nobby's dizzying heights.
Nobby knows an awful lot about ponds. We all have our own areas of expertise. I don't really know much about pancakes, and I'm happy to admit to that. I would imagine that Randy is probably the pancake expert on here.

I got greedy and had two - The first was with the honey from Upsall & lemon, and the second was with my choice of lemon and sugar. I must admit, the first one with the honey and lemon was the best.

Thanks for the idea Teacider.
