Our strongest lineup?

We have lots of options now, particularly in the attacking positions but what's our strongest team in your opinion?

I hope we go for this kind of setup;

........................Betts................

Djiksteel...McNair....Fry....Bola

.............Howson...Morsy.........

Laing.............Kebano.....Bolasie

......................Fletcher.................

Will be good now when we make subs. We will have genuine game changers ready to come on instead of the likes of Akpom and Spence being the first port of call.

jf we get everyone fit and firing we could be in for a good end to the season

It’s the best squad we’ve had in the championship in years imo. Pace, power and finally some width and creativity. Don’t think we’ve had this amount of attacking midfield options in, well, ever.

4-2-3-1 isn’t a bad shout with the likes of Bolasie, Mendez Laing and Kebano now. We could of done with a target man but Akpom can hold the ball up. We have so much flexibility in terms of formation now. For the first time I look at our midfield and think that’s decent for this level rather than it’s hard working but limited.

We'll still stick with 433 I'm sure and the strongest line up will all depend upon how well the new ones adapt to life at the boro I think.

But expect lots of rotation across the front 3 positions, now that NW has some strength in depth there.

———————Betinelli——————-
Fisher—Djiksteel—Fry—McNair—Bola
Tavernier—Howson—Morsy—Saville
———————-Akpom—————--

Archer
Hall//Spence
Laing
Kebano
Bolasie
Watmore
Fletcher
Johnson
Assombalonga

Imagine going from that to this..

———————Betinelli———
Djiksteel—Fry—McNair—Bola
——-Howson—Morsy————
—Laing—Watmore—Kebano—
—————-Bolasie—————

the opposition are going to suffer! not many teams can change from such extremes with so much quality. I said we were four good players away from a serious play off run.

Fisher, Laing, Kebano & Bolasie are four good players. Over the moon!!

Tricky one this, don't think you can accommodate our new attacking strength in numbers unless we play 4-2-3-1

I thought it was interesting that Bolasie went straight in as CF on Saturday, I'd expect him to play his better football out wide.

Potentially NML//Bolasie//Kabano across the front three?

Drop Saville and push Tav into midfield (we were crying out for someone to push forward from midfield on Saturday)?

I wonder if down to match fitness, as harder to beat people on the run as a winger rather than waiting for delivery etc so may have just been to get him on the pitch and sharpen him up

the addition of Kebano is a real shot in the arm for the starting 11-- I can't believe we've got him as he's always been top flight material IMO-- ok he's a bit rebellious by all accounts but still he's bound to add strength, speed and lots of passing options and hopefully GOALS.

I can't see us suddenly going all swash bucking with 4 at the back and only 2 CMs.

I still think its going to Sav/Morsy/Howson as they give us a base. I can't see us throwing the way we've played all season out of the window.

I fully agree Tav is and should be a nailed on starter. Everytime he's been rested we are far worse for it. It's a long season and remember Lang and Bolasie have hardly had a kick.
