Our greatest need remains strikers coming in

We really do need to get a couple in. Akpom? Nothing against the lad but as a striker doesn’t cut it. Goal scorers are not easy to get in - as we’ve proved in recent years. Without them our season will be massively different.

Hope we see movement soon - very soon

Watching the match last night it looks like Ikpeazu fits the bill as our main target man.
The worry would be if he gets injured we would be in a pickle....

We can’t go into a season with one striker - and he has hardly been a prolific scorer in the past
No I agree Nosmo, it's gone quiet on the Smith front. Perhaps we have been busy sorting out the Payero deal and things will start to move again...

Fingers crossed that the missing link we've had for a few years has been identified with our latest strikers

Delap would be my first choice (probably the same is being said at every Championship club in the country).

If Akpom goes, which looks likely, we need at least 1, probably 2 strikers (plus Watmore who can play there).

I think having only two CFs limits us to playing one up top and I'm sure Warnock mentioned he'd like the flexibility of playing 2 at times?

Anyone know Warnock's history/preferences with loans?

Have any of his other sides that challenged for promotion had a young/exciting Prem loan player feature heavily as a main man or does he prefer to stick with experienced older heads?

In fairness the financial climate makes the loan market more of a necessity these days so very difficult to compare

The frustrating thing about the loan market too is its always last minute due to the wait for Premier League sides to finalise their squads. Hopefully we can bag a gem or two.
