One man to mark.

He just had to be man marked at all set pieces. And as OP said nobody did and he should have been.
Good team Fulham though. Can see why they are well clear of the rest, Hull like most of the other games is a must win.

I've just sent an email to the club informing them of a new tactic that has come to light thanks to fmttm posters on this thread. Good stuff. In a nutshell, mark each teams best player. Who would of thought it huh! This really is revolutionary guys. How on earth did you come up with it?? Can someone with Instagram DM fry also and just let him know not to let good players put him in their pockets?

It was Reed faking to take the free-kick initially which caught our defensive line out. Our players all hesitated and Mitrovic continued his run into the box, knowing that Wilson was going to take it.

Fry and Djiksteel appealed for the offside but it was a very well-worked free-kick to be fair. We got caught out.
Exactly this.

Looked to me that Djiksteel slipped as the ball came in. Could be wrong though 😵‍💫 as I had drank a few beers.

I'm pretty sure every club that plays Fulham says the same thing. You ain't daft of you've got 38 goals.

I'm also not sure about 'only one to mark'. He has 38. I'm sure they said it's 40% of the goals they have scored. So plenty of other threats.

Djksteel slipped which didn't help, but Mitro wasn't his man anyway. Paddy was marking him at the back of the line but lost him when he ran out and back in.
Dael was marking their CB I think.

Defensive line too high for me. Not sure if Fulham had identified that as an opportunity but with the quality of both the delivery and target if he broke the line it was always going to end up in the net.

He should never have been allowed that late run. WTF were we doing not sending a man way out to track him.

Yes, exactly this. Dijksteel slipped but not sure it made any difference to the outcome.

Freeze the highlights at 6:10 min and it looks like Onomah is a good yard offside

Bola passed him onto Paddy and rightly so, Paddy fell asleep owing to Mitrovic wandering out of the box .Paddy ball watching Mitrovic then comes late through a gaping hole.

I love a thread like this. Unfortunately good players lose their men, and when they do they convert their chances.

If everyone just marked their men on a set piece and saw what the fans did on the pitch every game would end nil nil.

I often play and can see exactly what is unfolding in front of me, but am too slow/ not good enough/ am caught out of position. I don't think it matters the level you play, the opposition gets better at exploiting it as you go up the leagues, and you in theory get better at stopping it. The best players in the league are more successful at exploiting it, finding space, losing their men.

Exactly right. Look at Harry Kane, how often does he appear in the box in open play and on set pieces looking unmarked? Players/fans will be thinking "how did we let that happen" but it's all about the timing and movement. In addition he's also a quality finisher, these things happen in every game but the result is normally the ball ballooning over the bar.
