One for the golfers - a legal helping hand when putting...

I recently bought one of these: https://tridentalign.com/

I am finding it really helpful.

They have recently reduced the price of the basic model I bought - 25 euros down to 20 euros.

I combined the ball marker part with a cross marker I already use on the ball to help with my feet alignment.

Great idea. Won’t help me, I’m afraid as my problem is pace of puts. Struggle to get it to the hole...
Most of us struggle with that issue. Along with many others.

All you can do is try to reduce the type of errors, the number of errors and the size of errors. For me, that is one of the wonderful things about playing golf.

This device has helped me deliver the putter back squarer to the line I want to hit the golf ball. So the ball goes straighter along my chosen target line. You can tell when you see the line on the ball rolling end over end.

Thinking about it I feel it can help with your issue as well. To some extent. As not hitting the ball consistently square when putting has an impact on both line and length. In terms of spin and power of contact.

BTW - I have 3 lines that were etched on my putter when I bought it. I use the one in the centre for uphill or flat putts. I use the one closest to the toe of the putter on downhill putts. As it reduces over spin. So downhill putts stop a bit quicker. This might also help you with pace of downhill putts.

UPDATED: As mentioned above I already had a cross I put on my ball using a sharpie pen. To help with feet position and alignment of the ball when putting. If you are a "logical" golf player this can help you even if you do not buy a trident align.

For me, all the trident align adds is a visual cue when looking down towards the ball. To help with alignment of the putter head. To start with and when you strike the ball. Together with a little bit more accuracy on lining the ball up to my chosen line (when I was using just a cross).

It comes with a standard small sharpie pen. I prefer using a full size sharpie pen to mark my balls. Rather than a smaller one.

I also mark up a number of balls. at home. Then put them in bulk in my bag. Occasionally bring home any balls that last so long they lose the markings. That happens, but not that often.
