On this Day - 2019 - he lied to The Queen.

  • 2019 – The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom unanimously ruled that advice given by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to Queen Elizabeth ii that Parliament should be prorogued was unlawful.

in a week when a woman is abused for walking to the front of a queue whilst at work - let that sink in - he lied to the queen.
Yup and the point that I was making in the Republican thread was that the Queen knew. Yet, because she has to appear apolitical could not deny the request. If we had a functional Head of State he/she could have denied the request. Yet, here we are.

very concise point Mutts.

after last week's episode of outrage and calls for R.E.S.P.E.C.T. many of those doing that bawling were the same ones bigging up the tories and de pfeffel throughout the whole tenure - not a lot of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. there from the leader of the Tories - apart from going on the pi$$ on the eve of her husband's funeral, leaving Elizabeth isolated and on her own in chapel - the dastardly cad lied to her also.

the yank lied to our queen

off with his head.

Johnson the incompetence PM, killed thousands due to his approach to covid remember, but it's not a competition.
Johnson did get things wrong. Correct.

I do think there is a difference between not knowing what your doing in an unprecedented pandemic and knowingly telling a lie. That’s the difference.

I’m not staunch red or blue by the way. I go for the manifesto that benefits me.

I'm not defending Blair for one minute but Johnson's obvious lack of action when needed and his role in the illegal handing out of billions of pounds in government contracts to mates was heinous.
