Olivier giroud to Middlesbrough

I think it’s fairly common knowledge that we were interested in him under Southgate. There were a few others who turned out alright too, like Arshavin.

It brought us Barry Robson and he was brilliant, just a shame he was in his 30s he was head and shoulders above the rest

I agree he was the one bright spot. Excellent player for us and got sent off on my wedding day for chinning Linvoy Primus 😂

Always liked him.

But I do think it's a funny little factoid that he won the 2018 World Cup playing as France's main number 9 without scoring or even managing a single shot on target.
That must be a unique stat for a World Cup winning striker.

I remember that game very well!

I don’t, was too busy trying to improve my new wife with woeful moves on the dance floor at our reception. Watched the highlights the day after though... the game that is, not my drunken mating routine 😅

😂😂 I think it finished 2-2 🤔🤔

Yeah he did, think he knocked him out cold, wasnt it mokoena?

It might have been now you mention it. Either way, was a character and a half, great leader to n the porch despite only briefly being captain. Chipped in with quite a few goals too.
