Where's best? Not sure I fancy leaving the car in a random Salford street?
Is there official match day parking any good...s seems reasonable (all things considered) for £12.

Obviously been a while since I have been, but last time there was an NCP a short walk away near the ITV studios (media city??). Not cheap and a nightmare to get out of, but safe.
 
There are loads of unofficial car parks round the Old Trafford area. They normally cost about £5. Mind half of them are jsut some fella waving you in o a bit of land taking your money and then on his toes as soon as you are away from your car.

Oh and Old Trafford is not in Salford. It's in Trafford.
 
The last time I went I parked in the street off Trafford Rd. Loads of places charging a £5 and street parking if you get there early enough.
Then you just walk over the ship canal to the Ground.
Fairly easy access on the way out to the M6 for anyone heading back south (not so sure about heading back to Teesside tho)
