Evening fellas. Will they follow or is it a new start. Must be some sort of archive.

I’d presume new start. Finding old content no different to what you do now with google seeing as there is no search function or post history on the old site

There's no proper archive and lots of older posts were lost anyways. Let it die.

A read only version of the old site would be great to have. I am sure there are a lot of happy memories in there. Plus useful info. Would need some sort of simple search facility.

You’ve got next to no chance of anything other than the board being frozen in time and relying on Google to search it. Why invest any more time in a dead platform?

I am not asking for any more. The thing is to not kill it off yet. Just turn it to read only. As use say, using Google as the search indexer.

However I feel that you would need to have a simple way for people to search the old site. Instead of getting a mix of stuff from old as well as new.

This site has built in search so you’d not need to worry. If you use google to search a site you specify the exact site URL so it wouldn’t find stuff from here.

OK. Previously I searched for FMTTM and what I wanted on Google.

As you say the obvious thing to do is search for https://fansonline.net/middlesbrough/mb/ with your query.

I guess this advice should be posted somewhere on here. Migration done.
