OK Scran at the match

Maybe I have gone soft with California and airline prices but last night had a Balti pie which was quite tasty and a red wine (my bladder won't stand for beer on a cold night) for 8 quid which did not seem too bad for captive audience. Mind even an over 65 ticket was more than I paid for my last season ticket (1977 chicken run)

There's a cracking burger van close to the east stand car park. It's a bit pricey but they do a really nice chicken curry with mushrooms and peppers and chips.

I find the pies underwhelming. The casement too hard and burnt and the fillings like molten lava they are that hot. A burnt roof of the mouth isn’t pleasant for the next 24 hours.

Food at The Riverside is shockingly bad these days also well overpriced.

The burgers are absolutely disgusting as is the parmo in a bun, pies are the only option for me now.

There used to be a stand that sold Chinese crispy beef and noodles, that was really nice, but since Covid it’s disappeared unfortunately

Through necessity I had to get something to eat at the Burnley game. I got a cheese burger and "fries" and it was fine. There was a beefburger it was in a bun with a slice of cheese, I dosed it with some ketchup, the bun was fresh, the "fries" were freshly made and it all went down just fine. About £8 IIRC?

First Born had a parmoinabun and that was OK too.

It was all a bit plain but it was fresh, properly cooked, you could help yourself to condiments and basically you got what you paid for. It would be nice to have the option of (for example) a noodle bar but it's football ground grub not a music/food festival.

Darlo, back at Feethams used to do proper chips and their pies were from Taylors the Butchers which was fantastic but I doubt you could scale that up in the Riverside.

Not quite stadium food but I used to really liked the roast van just after rail line. Not been there for years but their hot meat sarnies used to be ideal. Pork, stuffing, apple sauce and Gravy!!

Didn’t mind a Parmo Pie from the Upex van near the cinema either.

Doing decent food at a football game is so easy as well. Every year we go to hull they always do fantastic food, slightly a little bit more expensive but people will pay it if the food is good, I know I would.
