Official January Transfer Rumours 2021

Just been reading through reports that Celtic are keen on taking back Roberts - having kept an eye on his lack of game time at Boro.
I wouldnt be surprised if we said "cheers mate" and moved for other targets.
Roberts.jpeg
He reminds me of Besic = good signs and performance to begin with, but appears to lack mental sustainability.
Neil has hinted that Roberts doesnt always shine in training - ie. doesnt put in 110%.
I cant help but foresee Coulson making tracks elsewhere and even Wingy.

Jones and a couple of the young lads in under 23s are ready to take the chance.
Losing Wing or Coulson - once we have replacement bodies, wont adversley effect our squad [in my opinion].
Fletcher.jpeg
Its a good question about Fletcher . Whilst he recovers the nature of the team and the way it performs has changed.
Hopefully Brit will be on his way and Fletcher will have to adapt to the new situation.
we have to assume [of course] that Fletcher makes a 100% recovery.
Or do we off-load in the summer?

Apparently Geordies linked with him also, that might scupper our hopes and/or put the price up. Apparently Aberdeen accepted a £2m bid from a French ligue one side in the summer, but he didn't fancy the move.
We need to tempt the lad with a Parmo and a bottle of Scotch.
Need to sit him down with our Neil - he`l tell him whats good for him(y):)

Aberdeen fans comments via their AFC-Chat message board:

‘I’d question whether Cosgrove is English Championship standard, let alone EPL.’

‘Sam’s back and we’re back to aimless hoofball again. And not very good at that it seems.’

‘He’s really pretty sh.t.

A centre half converted to a centre forward. And it shows.’

‘He was rancidly useless yesterday.

Embarrassingly so.

Some random Sunday welfare player wearing concrete boots could show better control and composure on the ball than big Sam did.’

‘He’s rubbish but some managers will always like a big unit up front.
Just under half his goals have been penalties.

They all count of course but important to factor this into the equation.’

‘I’m a strong vote for sell.’

‘I suggest we loan him out in January. He’s obviously not interested in playing for Aberdeen.’

‘There’s no way he’s getting loaned out if he isn’t sold in January, sh.te as he’s been since he came back.

I’d wager he’s off as soon as the bells are past though.

When he’s not scoring he does look like a non-footballer.

I’m the first to admit that he doesn’t have much to his game, outside of the goals… however, as I have previous mentioned, I do feel that his unorthodox approach and physicality can unsettle some defenses.

Pretty damning that !!
Its a no from me, im out.

Glenn Murray is being recalled.

Harry Arter is not pulling up any trees at forest.

but Warnock likes to get the band back together so expect, peltier, jags and paddy kenny

Watmore looks more like a striker. He's had his fair share of time out due to injuries. I don't think Bolasie coming in as a left winger will affect Roberts, if anything by the sounds of it he will improve his chances as starting as a number 10.

I honestly think Warnock wants to keep Roberts but doesn't want to expose him unnecessarily. It's all well and good him chomping at the bit for game time, but if we find ourselves in the playoffs at the end of the season Roberts is gonna be no good on the treatment table. You don't get extra points when you're 3-0 up.

At the moment Roberts is like a best suit, you're not going to go down to the gym in it, you don't wear it to take the bins out either. We've got several big dos this season and we're not rocking up with sick on our jacket or a split up the backside.
But you still wear your suit on the odd occasion....... what has Roberts had 20 minutes in 5 games?

Warnock signed Arter before for Cardiff. Not sure we need him like

Reports saying Warnock has spoken to his targets .
I would not be surprised to see Roberts going to Celtic , and Klimala coming here on loan in his place .We could even swap Britt for Klimala .
I would also not be surprised if Britt went to Rangers , in a swap for Itten or Morelos
Warnock likes to wheel and deal .
I don't think he'll let Roberts go. If we're keeping Britt, Fletcher is coming back.. throw Bolasie into the mix with one or two more
Talk of Kamil Grosicki.. Sam Cosgrove maybe? They all add something in terms of getting goals.

We tried to get Bolasie in an failed (so money must be there)
We missed out on a big striker and done without for half a season (so maybe we can do something there)
We held our cool when it came to splashing out and saved big as a result, we've done without for half a season
maybe that could be the extra money behind the couch to bring in the likes of Grosicki.

Roberts (still on loan) still wrapped in cotton wool
Bolasie (on loan) almost half price as we missed out on him the first time round
Grosicki (on loan) just enough to bring another winger in
Sam Cosgrove on a permo (Keiffer Moore was £2m and higher wages)
Britt & Fletcher basically on a season long loan - best for all parties maybe to see where we are at the end of the season.

Two more loans and two permos and Warnock has the same sort of movement as Pulis

Bolasie
Grosicki
Watmore
Cosgrove

plus Fletcher to come back in and improvements to players with the extra quality & competition coming in.
