Off Topic: Here's one for you, whats your thoughts....

Depends whether he knows its a joke or not, and whether he treats girls different because of it. Teachers probably right.

He doesnt appear to have any issue with girls - he has a 4 people friendship group, 2 are girls who have all played together for 2 years in pretty much happy bliss

Relies a lot on his older sister to help him with things and loves her to bits

So Ive certainly got no worries over his views on girls.

Personally I think its a joke that he has jumped on and as a family we have always laughed about it (both ways boys better than girls, girls better than boys etc) and hes obviously taking that fun into the classroom

It sounds like it's pretty much just taken in jest at home during a very specific scenario (I'm sure he doesn't really believe boys are superior and no doubt your Mrs would be having a word if so). I wouldn't be worried about changing anything at home as long as he understands it's just a joke or banter or whatever. Which sounds like it is. Understanding the difference and what is appropriate in different situations is a useful social skill in itself.

Probably does need to reign it in elsewhere mind. My boys are a similar age (4 & 6) and they understand there are things they can get away with at home, that wouldn't be appropriate elsewhere.

Mostly all the fart and poo "jokes" they're a bit obsessed with and being allowed to call each other and me and their mum idiots in a jokey way (thanks to the treehouse books for that one).

All good stuff this, cheers

It is one of the reasons why I asked ...and why I didn't react when the teacher spoke to me and went home to speak with the wife.

I asked her do I lay it on thick, go beyond fun.... she didn't think so, but its obviously registering too much with my son!

I think 'dad' needs to rethink his celebrations next time we play Bluey Bingo!
Bluey Bingo 😳😳 whoa there feller I think we’re finally getting to the root of the issue 😳 Russel Brand will definitely have played that - but at five🙈

Haha - yep I definitely need to discourage those jokes too, .....now my wife definitely hates those ones!
Ah come on, jokes about pumps and willies have been funny for kids for years. My niece used to pee herself laughing at them from the age of understanding to now - and she still does. As do all the kids. Best stick to calling them pumps and willies though.
